Life throws challenges at you at every stage. Now, more than ever, it is important for families to connect and talk about governance and legacy, and the things that matter most. Susan shared some tips and techniques to help families with the who, what, where, when, and why of Family Meetings, and especially remote Family Meetings in today’s era of social distancing.
We are honored and humbled that Susan has been awarded the prestigious “WOMEN IN WEALTH MANAGEMENT AWARD” by Family Wealth Report Awards 2020. In these challenging times, it is indeed quite a bright light and honor to be recognized by my peers for being, in the judges’ words: “one of the few women on the national speaking circuit who is guiding financial services firms and their clients to connect with the human side of the client relationship.”
Accepting the award was a real honor since I know from personal experience that it is given only after a thorough judging process conducted independently of Family Wealth Report commercial influence by family office and wealth management industry peers. We were included with a most impressive group of finalists, and we were extremely proud and honored to receive the award.
Susan Schoenfeld was a featured speaker on Managing the Wealth Transfer of the “Business of the Family” in early March 2020 at the Marcus Evans Private Wealth Management Summit in Boston MA. Her message to the family offices, wealth managers and RIAs in attendance was that by learning to focus more on the human side of family wealth, the private wealth managers can learn to be more successful in attracting and retaining ultra-high net worth clients. Delivered through real-life storytelling, she provided valuable concepts and techniques that the audience can use right away to attract and serve wealthy clients.
